Meet Dr. Naydeen Gonzalez-De Jesus, Higher Education Visionary
Dr. Naydeen Gonzalez De Jesus is the former president of Alamo Colleges District, San Antonio College (SAC). She left her role with SAC in 2024 to become the Alamo Colleges District presidential project executive. Her responsibilities in this position entail strategic development and execution for the district, which encompasses eight counties. A few specific areas of focus include workforce training and development and communications between local prison education programs and re-entry transition services.
Dr. Naydeen Gonzalez De Jesus has garnered professional accolades during her time with Alamo Colleges District, including Texas Diversity Council Woman of the Year honors in 2024, and the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations Bronze honors in 2023 for her Front and Center podcast.
Dr. Naydeen Gonzalez De Jesus holds a doctoral degree in industrial organizational psychology from Northcentral University. Her dissertation used a phenomenological lens to examine the career development of Latinas in mid-level community college administration. She was inducted into the Chi Alpha Epsilon National Honor Society, an achievement reserved for the nation’s top academic performers. When she is not researching professional topics such as career counseling and student support systems, she enjoys watching documentaries about the impact of globalization.
